The second book of Imponderables, and the first to include
mostly mysteries sent in by readers, is by far my bestselling book
(Anyone know why? Is it the title? The cover? The questions?).
Some of the more popular questions include: If nothing sticks
to Teflon, how do they get Teflon to stick to the pan? Why do hot
dogs come ten to the package and buns eight to the package? And how
do they keep the raisins in cereal from falling to the bottom of the
box?
Clocks also introduced "Frustables." Ten frustrating
Imponderables were posed to readers (the first Frustable, and the one
mystery that has generated the most mail of any subject in the
Imponderables books was: Why do you often see exactly one shoe on
the side of the road?)
This book is available in bookstores or at the
Imponderables Online Bookstore.
