Reality Check

I've previously expressed my enthusiasm for Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders, CMT's documentary/reality series about the competition to make the squad. In some ways, the competition is grimmer than NFL players trying to make the team on Hard Knocks. Surely, no head coach in the NFL is scarier than Kelli McGonagill Finglass, director of the cheerleading squad. The second season of the show debuts tonight at 8:00 P.M. on CMT. It's a great show.

A few broadcast network shows are trickling on the air. It hasn't received much hype, but I'm looking forward to Nashville, which debuts tonight at 9:00 P.M. on Fox. It feels like a blatant ripoff of The Hills, which is fine by me.
