Edie Adams, R.I.P.

Very few performers combine comedy and music with the quality and finesse of Edie Adams, who just passed away. I was a big fan of her husband, Ernie Kovacs, and Adams was her sidekick on the show. I would be untruthful if I claimed that Adams did not haunt my adolescent fantasies. She was most famous for her Muriel Cigar commercials on the show. Here's a tame one featuring Stan Getz:
