Associated Content is a hybrid of MySpace and Wikipedia. Users can publish videos, essays, poetry, photographs, or audio, and get paid for their contributions (submissions are screened by AC's staff). AC calls itself "The People's Media Company," although the interface is slick and it is obviously well-financed. Still, it's awfully appealing to folks who might rant for free on another site to get paid for ranting on AC and even earn "performance bonuses" for every thousand viewers of their content.
