Super Bowl

Fate has conspired to put me in Las Vegas for [part of] the Super Bowl. This place is a zoo. It's not clear to me why there is a need to watch the Super Bowl communally. I assume it's mostly an excuse to party.

The betting line has stuck at seven points, and the total points over-under at 48. Someone I met who works for a legal bookmaker full-time says the bulk of the betting has been on Chicago, but not quite enough to move the line. The bookmakers could take a loss if Indianapolis doesn't cover.

I'm going with Indianapolis to win the game, but I don't have a strong feeling about who is going to win the game. If Indy gets off to a lead early, I could see a blowout scenario. But if I were a betting man, I'd sit this one out.
