Docs on My Mind

If we can wrest you from the ecstasy of the Dancing With the Stars danceapalooza, you might be interested in four documentaries airing tonight:

Thin, on HBO at 9:00 P.M., explores four women with eating disorders who seek treatment at the same center.

Everest: Beyond the Limit follows an expedition of 11 athletes up the peak, including a double-amputee. (This is actually the first episode of a limited series). Discovery Channel at 10:00 P.M.

On many PBS stations tonight, from 8:00 P.M. to 10:00 P.M., Nova explores a Turkish family of five that walks on all fours; and Frontline details the sordid tale of disgraced Spokane, Washington Mayor Jim West. But this documentary finds plenty of problems in the methods used to bring West down.
