Bourdain on Lebanon

Chef/TV Personality Anthony Bourdain visited Beirut, Lebanon to film his TV show at a most inopportune time -- just two days before the current crisis started. Bourdain has been stuck in Beirut ever since. He wrote Watching Beirut Die, a sad but illuminating report, for Salon (unless you pay for a subscription, you must sit through a very short ad to see the content -- for me, it was an ad for the Travel Channel that carries Bourdain's show).
