There are scads of blogs on the web devoted to media news and gossip. I visit too many of them. My latest main squeeze is Jossip.

What I like least about it is its snarky tone. It's not as well written as, say, Gawker or The Superficial.

What I like most about Jossip is its wide range of interests -- everything from television to hip hop to politics. It's clear that creator David Hauslaib watches tons of television and reads voraciously. Jossip doesn't endlessly run easy targets (e.g., Britney Spears, Michael Jackson) into the ground.

The last few days, he's been covering MSNBC's latest nighttime programming changes, including the rise of Rita Cosby and the fall of Tucker Carlson, Martha Stewart's forthcoming television show, Steve Florio's phantom book about Conde Nast, and why Eliot Spitzer just fined a radio station $300,000.

Good stuff.
