Hell's Kitchen

Finales of reality shows are usually busts, but last night's conclusion of the Fox-TV reality show was fabulous. No spoilers here, in case some of you haven't watched yet, but I will say that the lack of gimmicks and red herrings was much appreciated.

Watching the mechanics of a restaurant kitchen turned out to be surprisingly entertaining, and as the more incompetent contestants were kicked off, pit bull Gordon Ramsay did cut down on the histrionics that threatened to turn each show into a one-way screamfest. I would have been happy for either contestant to gain victory, so passionate were they about winning their own restaurant, but after watching all the episodes, could running a restaurant seem like less fun?
