When I worked at NBC-TV, I read more than a few horrendous pitches for television shows. After I left NBC and worked on the proposals for what became my first two books, I did a little consulting and read even more awful stuff.
Any magazine or book editor, any programming or development person in television or movies, or any agent can regale you with stories of awful query letters. Now a blog is devoted to this worthy subject.
