I love a smart dumb comedy, and thanks to a tip from my nephew, Michael, I checked out 2004's Eurotrip, a surprisingly funny and eccentric movie in the Road Trip/American Pie genre (but much better than either, in my estimation). A trip to Rotten Tomatoes confirms my memory that the movie split critics down the middle. But when you investigate the negative reviews, you notice that even the naysayers often mention how many laughs there are in the movie.

Maybe it's a step below Dodgeball, but with a smaller budget, and the only well-known actors in (wonderful) cameos, Eurotrip more than holds its own. It's running several times on Thursday and Friday this week.
