R.I.P. H. David Dalquist

Founder of Nordic Ware, H. David Dalquist, died in his home in Edina, Minnesota Sunday. Perhaps he will only be a footnote in history, but a permanent footnote, for Dalquist created the aluminum Bundt pan in 1950.

Besides looking cool, the ridges of the bundt cake make cutting a cake easy as pie for the knife-skills-impaired.
